It is always fulfilling to mark the completion of a project, especially after having been involved in it right from the beginning. Completing a project means a win, and another milestone for the company, and it is always satisfying to be part of that process.
Caleb Phang

Senior Associate Director, Legal and Compliance

When did you join CAI?

I joined CAI in July 2016.

Describe your role and responsibilities in CAI and tell us if they meet your career aspirations?

I am part of CAI’s Legal and Compliance team, which is responsible for the group’s legal documentation and safeguarding CAI’s interests in the various projects, joint ventures and day-to-day operations.

Besides work related matters, is working in CAI an overall good fit for you given the phase of life you are in? Please elaborate. (For example, if you have dependents, does the company practice family friendly work policies?)

Yes, it is. CAI offers the option of flexible working hours, and this helps given that I have school-going kids. Asset management meetings, usually conducted monthly, are not held in June and December so that employees who have school-going children are able to take time off to spend with their family during the holiday periods.

Can you recall what are the most fulfilling times you have had in CAI? Any particular examples to share?

It is always fulfilling to mark the completion of a project, especially after having been involved in it right from the beginning. Completing a project means a win, and another milestone for the company, and it is always satisfying to be part of that process.

How would you describe your job here at CAI in a single sentence?

Never dull, always challenging.

Describe what drives the CAI culture.

I think that the CAI culture is driven by the desire to be expert solution and service providers and the need to uphold the Changi brand internationally.

What is the biggest and most interesting challenge to your job (without going into too much details)?

The biggest challenge to this job is having no certainty as to what one will face on each new work day.

What advice would you give to prospective job seekers?

Be open-minded about the kind of work you are expected to undertake and embrace the challenge.
