Saudi Arabia: King Fahd International Airport 2016

Since 2008, CAI worked with the local authority to transform King Fahd International Airport. Fast forward to 2016, passenger traffic has more than doubled and non-aeronautical revenue tripled as a result of the successful partnership. The team also inaugurated a cargo village and a city terminal. KFIA is now an award-winning, ACI ASQ-recognised airport.

Brazil: Olympics 2016 at Tom Jobim International Airport

RIOgaleão successfully welcomed athletes, guests and fans from all over the world for 2016 Summer Olympics and Paralympics. At its peak, the airport handled 85 thousand passengers for departure – double the amount on a normal day.

Brazil: Cargo Terminal at Tom Jobim International Airport 2016

RIOgaleão will invest about R$30 million in upgrading the infrastructure and equipment of the cargo terminal by 2016. Since taking over the airport’s operation in August 2014, the concessionaire, in which CAI is a shareholder, has reduced the average cargo clearance time by 20% through improvements in operating procedures and replacement of critical equipment.

CAI, working with local partners, unveils Tom Jobim International Airport’s new pier that features high-quality facilities and improved services that aptly captures the spirit of Rio. The concessionaire has plans to invest an additional R$3.2 billion in services and new infrastructure up till 2039.

Russia: Sochi International Airport 2014

CAI invested in four airports in the Krasnodar region, including Sochi International Airport, in 2012. Working with local partners, we introduced a slew of upgrades and new facilities. The airport has been named Best Airport in two categories at the 2015 Airports Council International Awards.
