Project Description

The upcoming Terminal 5 project will cement Singapore’s position as a key aviation hub and Changi Airport’s reputation as the world’s best airport.

CAI, through its subsidiary, Changi Airport Planners and Engineers (CAPE), and partners Surbana Jurong, Arup and Mott MacDonald, were appointed by Changi Airport Group (CAG) as the Master Civil Consultants for the upcoming Terminal 5 (T5) project.

The consortium will provide consultancy services for the design of infrastructure at the landside and airside areas outside the T5 buildings. These include taxiways, aircraft parking stands, roadways and drainage systems, as well as the utilities such as power, water, gas, fuel and telecommunications to the T5 buildings.

The development of T5 will ensure that Changi Airport remains competitive as a leading air hub capable of serving the growing needs of airline partners and taking the travel experience to new levels.

The T5 project is part of the larger Changi East Development that includes a three-runway system, as well as the development of cargo complexes and other supporting aviation and ground transport infrastructure. The development will provide Changi Airport with an additional handling capacity of 50 million passengers per annum in its initial phase.
