Project Description
CAI provides key expertise to Changi Airport Group in master planning and airfield engineering designs through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Changi Airport Planners and Engineers (CAPE).

From broad layout planning to design detailing, CAI consultants oversaw the development of airport related infrastructure, including runways, taxiways and aircraft parking apron pavements, airfield drainage system, ground access systems and roadways, car parks and taxi queues.

Changi East is the next phase of development for Singapore Changi Airport. The project encompasses a third runway and the future mega Terminal 5 (T5), which will augment the airport’s handling capacity and seal Changi Airport’s status as the top international air hub.

CAI has played a key role in the project since its conceptualisation in 2011, in areas such as master planning, airfield and engineering design, as well as functional design review of the future terminal.

CAI is also the lead consultant for the ongoing airfield engineering project, that is scheduled to be completed in phases from 2020 onwards.
