New Terminal Building T4
Changi Airport Group
Period of Service
2011 – 2017
Changi Airport’s newest terminal, Terminal 4 (T4), will have a planned capacity of 16 million passenger movements, boosting Changi Airport’s current capacity of from 66 to 82 million passengers per annum. Drawing from the wealth of experience behind the planning, design and building of Changi’s other passenger terminals, CAI has designed T4 with functional flexibility to meet the operational needs of both regional full-service and low-cost carriers, complete with passenger-friendly facilities such as aerobridges as well as attractive commercial offerings. In close consultation with airport stakeholders T4 will feature initiatives aimed at improving airport efficiency and manpower productivity through the terminal design and innovative use of technology. T4 is expected to welcome its first passengers in 2017.
CAI has been involved in the project since its inception, having conducted initial feasibility studies and site selection, through to the development of the airport master plan to support this new passenger terminal building. CAI was responsible for concept design and also detailed airfield, landside ground transport infrastructure and drainage system engineering design works.
